How do you know a babies shoe size?

Well, if its a newborn...they wear size : Newborn or 0

If the baby is 0-3 months.. they can wear anywhere from sizes Newborn; 0, 1, or sometimes 2 in some shoes.

3-6 months. usually go with a size 2.. because their foot grows fast in these months.

6-12 months.. size: 2, 3, and 4 in some sneakers.

My baby is 11 months. and wears a 3.. and in her sneakers she has to wear a 4.. because they are more snug.

Better to buy them too big than too small!

you take them to the store and try on woes for them! good luck! the stride rite shoes are great for the first walking shoes!
Reply:You just have to go hold their foot up to the bottom of a shoe and then try them on.

I never put shoes on until my son could walk.
Reply:All you have to do is take some measuring tape and take it from the back of the bottom of the baby's foot to the tip of the big toe. Go to the store and that is their size, it might have changed by now so just ask to be sure. And oh yeah people talk about not putting shoes or socks on your baby till they can walk that is nonsense b/c my mother put them on me and my feet are a 10.5. And all baby's are different the baby may be 5 months and in a size 3. Or the baby could be 3 months and in a size 5.
Reply:You really shouldn't be putting shoes on your baby until they are walking.. then for the first pair at least have the measured and fitted properly by a proffessional...
Reply:You may have to take them and have their foot measured.
Reply:best thing 2 do is 2 have them measured or just simply go down the row and try on diff sizes....
Reply:pls get a little stick measure the size of you baby's leg, go to the shoes store and put it in shoes.the one that fitsit is your baby's leg size.
Reply:I have read that no shoes until walking, cause the foot needs to be free to grow...odd but thats what my books say.
