How do get my husband to stop spending so much?

My husband spends so much money, I just don't understand it anymore. I am pregnant, and a housewife, and he works very hard, so in my opionion he has a right to go out an splurge sometimes, but he is doing it all of the time. He will go out and spend $700 on a pair of shoes from Louis Vuitton, $420 on cufflinks and $45 on a pair of boxers. When we go out to eat, he will only go to the most fancy place. we just moved into a house, he insisted we get a 5000 sq foot house ( which hear in the SF Bay Area is a staggering 2.5 mil), so we have the mortgage. Now he is spending tons of money to decorate ( he has an BA in interior design) then he went out and bought a Range Rover and a Porsche Cayman and still continues to shop all of the time, now he is buying ridiculous things for our unborn baby. Yesterday he went out and spent like $150 on some Gucci baby shoes. Everything he buys has to be super expensive, he won't shop at a store like target or old navy. Why is he doing this, and what can I

Show him the price you guys will be paying for your baby's college will cost, he'll change his tune.
Reply:well the more money you make the more moeny you spend... but does sound like a lavish spending spree...If i were you I would balance out the pros and cons of his spending and your savings. .. Is he spending more then he is saving... Do you have enough moeny saved in case of a rainy day that will cover your bills and expenses for about two years... If not I suggest you give him an ultimatium, open another account in your name and slowly move money from your joint account into yours. That way if you guys get into some kind of finanical hardship you and your baby will be okay for the time beening.
Reply:Well if you can afford it, what is the problem?
Reply:good get everything you can too IF IF it his money if is your money its you decision maybe he wants his family to have the best dont complain it could be worse you could be shopping at pay less get a grip.
Reply:i never heard a man spend alot of money but women do, so i say turn him into a woman and maybe he would stop spending so much.
Reply:when a man spends 700 on shoes and $420 on cufflinks of all things - he might be in the closet. My most expensive pair of shoes are $200.00 red wing work boots steel toed and dielectric to 25000 volts and worth every penny. Boxers can be had for six bucks for a pack of 5. Why does a kid who can't walk need $150.oo shoes. Your husband is a good provider, but he needs to be hit in the head with the stick of common sense.
Reply:Your husband's spending is way out of control. Do you guys have the money to back up all that spending? Is he using credit cards? You need to have a talk with him regarding your concerns.
Reply:ok mam got ur point u can do one thing u can tell him that soon ur baby will be born and he has to save the money as the baby would be needing that money when he would grow up for his higher studies and one more thing u can do u can just add up all the amount he just wasted and tell him that honey this month u earned this much and total amount of money u spent is this much and remember to tell him that this house is due to u have mortgage something and u have to save money for ur future as time can be rude any time and at that time only one thing wouldhelp thats money just give him the complete description and if he is a smart person he would understand all that
