Baby Pagent help please?

I've never put my daughter in a pagent before, there is one I would like to put her in. She is 5 months old. And from 0-11 yrs, they have to wear casual dresses, nothing pagent. I don't understand why. But I found a cute dress she has, but have no shoes to match. What should i do. The color of the dress is like a light marron, and i doubt i could find shoes to match. Also could someone with pagent experience, tell me what to do , to gain more points with the judges..example: would she get more points for having her hair up or down. She has a lot of hair. Would they dock her points for no shoes?

give her shoes like if theres like a blue flower or a white shirt under it put on white shoes. and put her hair in like a half povey tail cute like that. not 2 poney-tails to overdone on little girls

Reply:She could wear cute shiny black shoes with a maroon dress, or try your hardest to find maroon shoes (you can get white ones and some shoe places dye shoes to any color you want.) But why would you enter your daughter in a beauty pageant when she is so little? Why would you enter her in one at all? It's weird. The girls there are completely fake and it creeps people out, they look like barbie dolls which actually isnt as good as it seems! But good luck, take my advice on the shoes, and take my advice by making this her only beauty pageant and then not entering her in one again unless SHE says she wants to.
