I just had a baby 3months ago and i gained 60 pounds during my pregnancy from 150 to 210 i know weigh 200 lbs
when i got pregnant i gained 50 pounds. i spent six months excercising lightly 2-3 times a week (i lost about 2 pounds a week) and got down to my pre-pregnancy weight. i don't know the best way to lose weight 'fast,' but over time this worked for me:

i used a weighted jump rope, did vertical sit-ups, and did a mile of jogging per session (for a total of about 30 minutes of exercise). i only did about a 12-15 minute mile, so it was actually pretty slow jogging -- i have no endurance for running. i tried to fit the exercising in during my lunch hour, so my schedule didn't need any special rearranging -- although i was close to a gym, so that helped. also, i found drinking a lot of fluids (which helped keep running cramps at bay), snacking on homemade trail mix (butterscotch chips, raisins, and unsalted peanuts -- good for protein and a sense of 'fullness'), and eating raw fruits and veggies every day made a big difference.

if you wanted to lose weight faster you could probably try the exercises i mentioned, but maybe do 30 minutes of jogging, 20 min. jumping rope, and 10 doing sit-ups. maybe a friend could join you to keep you motivated? i have a relative who's in a competition to lose the most weight ... she's lost 13 pounds so far and is in the lead. the others will chip in for a night at a nice hotel for the winner and her spouse!

good luck to you. i think perseverance is key.
