Do you ever dress your baby or toddler son up for no reason?

At least once a week I can not help but to dress my two year old little boy up. I dress him in a dress shirt, pants or dress shorts, dress shoes and dark socks. If it is cool I will even put a little sweater on him. No I don't go as far as a tie, though I have been temped? I brought him to a dentist appointment last week and they were all talking about how nice he looked and wondered why he was so dressed up lol I might have to put him in private school when he is older just so I have a reason to dress him up ;)

No he does not mind, yet!

Nothing wrong with your child looking smart in their clothes. Every Saturday we do a shopping trip and get out for the day and we all put on something nice.
Reply:Love it... You might as well while you have control of it... Dress him up anytime you want.... I LOVE IT!
Reply:lol yes, just because it is so cute! They are like little baby dolls, and you can only do it while they are so small so enjoy it while you can! lol.
Reply:Black leather jacket, blue button-up collar shirt, Brown corduroy carpenter pants, and some brown boots with black stripes. He looks so cute! Mine likes to match. He is 5 and does not like to look stupid.
Reply:No...children are not toys. Buy yourself a porcelain doll to play with. Honestly...this is about you....a need to draw attention to yourself, its not about the child and he WILL object when he gets older...rightly so.
Reply:Yeah, I do that a lot. Yeaterday I dress my 16-month-old daughter in my 5-year-old daughters shirt and shorts. Surprisingly it was not too big for her and she wore it the whole day. My 5-year-old daughter loved it and my husband didn't even felt the difference. Poor kids, we parents are playing with them as dolls! Right?
Reply:I actually dress my 4 year old son up almost everyday, just like you do. I know people think I'm crazy when my son is dressed up like he just came from a wedding when we are at Wal-Mart. I just think it looks good on him and want him to be use to it when he gets older. He actually has more dress clothes than play ones. No I do not get mad when he gets them dirty. He insist on it, even around the house lol My oldest however dresses like the rest of the kids.
Reply:Of course; all moms do it. You might as well take advantage of it now while they'll still let you. My son (age 3) is all boy, but he does like clothes. He still likes most of the things I pick out, but he also likes to pick his own clothes. Still, I know there are things I can get him to wear now that won't go over well in a few years. Something tells me he'll be less than thrilled to wear a Ralph Lauren sweater vest to elementary school. He does attend a private school, but there are no uniforms. As cute as they are to parents, I had to wear one for years as a child. I just can't put him through that!
Reply:Hey, moms of girls do it all the time when they put them in dresses, so I say go ahead and enjoy your son while he is little.
