Free Stride Rites for baby?

I thought I heard once that your child can receive a free pair of Stride Rites as their first pair of shoes. Or maybe for their first birthday? Anyone know if this is true or not? This may be a really old offer, but just checking!

I'd hear of Payless doing it, too, but not Stride Rite. You could just call your local Stride Rite store and ask.
