Have you ever killed a spider and then little baby spiders came from it?

My mom killed a spider with a shoe, and then hundreds of little spiders came out and ran about. It was weird. We think it was just a spider carrying them. I just want to make sure.

Spiders (some) carry their young for some time after they "hatch." I lived in Mexico when I was a kid and it was custom to make sure the spider wasn't carrying little spiderlings before trying to kill it. If it did it was best to use fire.
Reply:Eww gross, I've never had that happen but I'd freak out if it did!
Reply:That's really gross. I once found this bumblebee which was laying on the ground, barely alive, so my son decided to put it out of its misery and squashed it. Inside were all these weird, almost transparent, mite-like things. Nasty. I know bumblebees lay eggs, so that must have been some sort of parasite. Did the baby spiders come out of the big spider's stomach? I doubt it. Some spiders carry their young on their backs or underneath their stomachs.
Reply:Yeah that happened to me once and by the time I came back with the bug spray most of them had scattered.
Reply:I don't kill living creatures. Serves her right if your place becomes infested with them. Tell her Happy Mother's Day and ask her how she likes killing off a mother herself.

Reply:yes i have. and it scared the s@$* out of me. and it was a bunch or babies riding on the mothers back it was nuts man.

Reply:eww yes that happened to me there was a spider in the pool so i took the pool net and slaped it and hundreds spread all over the pool i never went back into that pool...NASTY
Reply:ew that would creep me out. no that's never happened to me!! i doubt that the spider was pregnant with them, because wouldn't they be squished if she stepped on the mom? but then again, i don't see how she could carry them. soo i'm not sure! maybe they were underneath where she was stepping? was she outside?
Reply:EEEWWWW!!!! YES!!! AND IT WAS NASTY!!!!! I squashed the big spider and as soon as I did tons of little ones came out!!!!!! I ran as fast as I could! Im just glad it was outside and not in my house!!!! :(
