Foot disorder My daughter has Metetarsus Adductus?

Its a foot that has as a severe curve to it. I have been doing the excersizes to straighten out my daughters foot and they have helped dramatically. My Drs want me to put her in special shoes called Out Flare shoes since she will soon be walking. These shoes are very heavy %26amp; it will be spring soon %26amp; warmer. I dont want her to have to have shoes that make her feet sweat. They are also very unattractive. I believe if I keep doing the excersizes it would correct itself. She only has a problem with one foot but the Dr. wants them on both. Wont it make the other one curve oddly? I dunno about this, She doesnt walk pigeon toed when we hold her hands. Also these shoes are 800 dollars a pair and our insurance doesnt cover them because its a cosmetic thing. We have the money but I think paying 800 dollars everytime your baby switches shoe sizes is crazy! Has anyone ever experienced this. It was caused from her position in utero.

My daughter was born with her foot curved up too, but not as severe as yours. I would say just keep up with the exercises that you are doing. My daughter's foot went back completely normal with the month she was born from doing them. But again hers wasn't as bad. If you really don't believe the shoes will help then don't use them. Trust your gut:)
Reply:i didnt even kno this disorder existed... but thanks for posting... im scheduling to get my daughter checked.... we have always joked about it but never thought it was serious...jus figured it would correct itself in time...do you know if its something caused from what the mother did or not?
Reply:I wore those shoes when i was young. I think i was about 2. Anyways i only wore them to bed and to be honest i only rememeber i wore them cuz there are pictures lol. i dont think i wore them for that long...maybe half a year?? so it might be worth to at least try it. My mum said they helped ALOT!
