I'm looking at the Robeez Tredz. They are so cute but quite expensive $40+. They are the cutest shoes I've seen and I've heard they are great for beginning walkers.
Are there any other baby shoe's you would recommend that are good and nice looking? I have a boy. Thanks.
Are Robeez worth it?
When my nephew started to walk he had Stride Rite and my daughter had Nike. I guess it is really just up too you.
Reply:That is all I put on my daughter the first 11/2 years. Now I hear that Target has a generic brand that make the same type of shoe at a more affordable price. I might just try them for our new little guy.
Reply:You can find shoes that are the same style, but much cheaper. Target carries some for about $12. You can also find some made by work-at-home moms on http://www.hyenacart.com
Reply:Target has a version of them for $12.99

Reply:not worth it. Target sells knock offs for $15, they are just as nice.
Reply:My 11 month old daughter lives in her robeez. I love them. She also has some cute shoes but the only problem is she gets them off and they are a pain to get back on. Her robeez are so much easier to to get back on if she slips them off. I only own one pair though. I made sure to buy them one size bigger so she can grow into them.
Reply:I don't know about the tredz but they have knock off robeez at target for about $12 or $13 and they are all leather and can handle a lot of wear and tear. they are the soft suede sole type so very flexible, like walking barefoot, which I have read is good for beginning walking. They always have many different styles for boys and girls.
Reply:I have used two pairs of Robeez, the 0-6 month ones and now the 6-12 month ones and yes, they are worth it. They are easy to slip on and comfy for baby. When my daughter is old enough I'll be buying the Robeez Tredz. I love the different designs they have and would pay the price.
Reply:For new walkers, I think they are. The Target knockoffs are fine for pre-walkers, but once they're out of the house and on their feet, they wear out too quickly. Robeez hold up much better.
Reply:I'm really strict about the type of shoes my son wears- so far he has only had Clarks shoes (UK) and will do for at least the first 5 years. They are much more expensive than other brands, but, I know they fit then properly in store, none EVER rub they have all the correct support for his needs and age. I just think the first years are so important- when it comes to feet if you can afford the best then buy the best.
I don't want him to suffer later in life because of badly fitted shoes as an infant.
EDIT- Sorry, I don't understand the need for thumbs own on this??
Reply:If you dont want to spend $40+ on a pair of name brand Robeez, I believe I saw some at walmart (not Robeez brand) but they are just like them. And coming from Walmart I am sure they are much less than $40...
Reply:All three of mine learned to walk just fine in what ever shoes they happen to have on at the time. My pediatrician said bare foot or with skid proof sock at home is the best.
But If you like the way they look and it will make your life a little happier them get them.
Reply:$40 for baby shoes is too much IMO. I paid that at Stride Rite for their first shoes and they wore them ONCE before they grew out of them. I gave them to a friend who was having a baby.
Now I shop the sales and outlets for kids shoes.
