Any tips on how to keep my baby warm when I put him on his car seat in cold winter days?

He is 6 months old and is in a rear facing that is in the car all the time. When I put his snow suit on, he is warm. However if we are going somewhere that he would sweat in it or just such, I just carry him in a blanket for the walk to the car. So I put him in his car seat with only pants, socks, shoes and a shirt and jacket. I am used to cold seats and he is not. I do warm up my car, but the seats don't get warm in severe temp. until you sit in them. Any ideas? I thought of putting a blanket under maybe

Cute, I have three boys myself. There are some pretty fancy things they make these days. I am including some links to things they sell at walmart

This is the kind of thing that I used with my boys. It has a slot for the seat belt to pass through.

I hope this helped.

BEST WISHES!
Reply:I put a light weight thermal blanket in my kids seats and seemed to do the trick. I used a heavy one over him if I did not have the snow suit on.
Reply:The blanket trick is what I used to do too.
Reply:There are car seat covers that you can get at Wal-Mart. They go around the seat %26amp; leave their head open for air. It worked very well for my baby :)
Reply:blanket
Reply:Babies are NOT supposed to be in jackets or snowsuite in a car seat, you are to place a car seat cover over them or a blanket or something...Dangerous having them in a suite...
